Snoww is a new ski tracking app with a social twist. Users can track their progress each day on the slopes, including distance, vertical drop, speed and calories burned, and then share it with their friend in the app with pictures.
Users have free unlimited tracking and the ability to follow and compete with other users’ top scores, with the goal of reaching the top of the leader board. The app tracks progress over time and compares results to unlock in-app rewards and reach milestone achievements.
Drysure is changing the way that skiers and snowboarders dry their boots, without using heat, electricity or batteries. The innovative patent-pending boot dryers use an ergonomic design and enclosed silica beads to reduce moisture inside the boots. This method is 12 times more effective than air drying and much more environmentally friendly.
Avoiding the use of communal boot dryers reduces bacteria build-up and because Drysure doesn’t use heat, it reduces any damage caused by over drying. Drysure is a compact portable device, meaning boots can be dried anywhere, anytime.
Based in North Wales and involved with a range of action sports all year round the team at Olfi have developed a range of head cameras to suit every discipline and skill level.
Its new One.Five camera is an improved model of its action camera. It records 4K video in cinematic quality in a dynamic range of environments. It features the new Sony Exmor-R sensor, which stabilises the high-definition video, reducing shake and resulting in crystal-clear videos and pictures, viewable on a new full-colour LCD screen.
Creator of DAHU ski boots, Nicolas Frey, was desperate to find a pair of comfortable boots that could be used anywhere on the mountain. He designed a breakthrough product that challenged traditional ski boot design. DAHU ski boots combine the après comfort of a snow boot with a high-performance outer shell.
When in resort, skiers just wear the memory foam, microfiber snow boots, which have real rubber soles and a waterproof membrane, and when they come to strap on their skis simply slip the boot into the hard exoskeleton outer shell, which has all the features expected from a high-performance ski boot.
AS D-Zine is a product design company based in Scotland, which aims to create innovative new products for outdoor enthusiasts. Its first design, launching in time for the winter season is a tiny camera mount called PolePod, which is universally adaptable to all camera models.
PolePod can be attached to a ski pole, walking pole or even a tree branch to covert them into a selfie stick. It can also be attached to stationary objects to create a stable camera platform. The compact design can be taken anywhere to make sure you never miss that perfect shot.
Loqski is a brand new security product designed to help prevent the loss of skis and poles from mistaken identity or theft.
Weighing just over 250gms and small enough to fit into a jacket pocket, the Loqski ski lock secures the snow brakes at the point where they cross on stored skis; two side cuffs retain the poles, while the tether provides further flexibility and security.
